Lisa's desire to make an impact, paired with a natural eye for well-crafted marketing design, inspired the launch of Coruzzi Communications, LLC in 2020.
Lisa began her academic journey studying psychology, until a chance encounter led her to pivot and pursue advertising. A self-taught graphic designer, Lisa was appointed to UNLV’s Creative Director position for the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). Lisa led the UNLV team's creative strategy and copywriting for a marketing campaign that won 1st place regionally (placing above top universities like UCLA and USC) and 6th place nationally (out of 150+ participating universities). It was the first time UNLV has earned top honors in the history of the competition. That's when Lisa pivoted her major and career to Integrated Marketing Communications. Although, her knowledge and interest in human psychology still influence her human-centered approach to marketing.
Lisa kicked off her career helping small, local businesses establish their marketing plans before she joined various advertising agencies, including R&R Partners and MassMedia Corporate Communications. Before launching Coruzzi Communications, Lisa settled into the nonprofit public education sector, serving as Director of Communications and Development for Opportunity 180. During her tenure, she led the writing of a federal grant that was awarded over $20 million to fund the launch or expansion of great schools across Nevada's high-poverty neighborhoods.
Lisa also dedicates her time to serving young people in the community. She’s volunteered with more than 20 local nonprofits and children’s hospitals. For eight years, she also served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care– representing their best interests in the courtroom, in school, and in the community. Lisa is also a state board member and co-chairs the Resource Development Committee for the Nevada CASA Association.
